A sketch from “Nuts about Sketches”.

I recently saw a wonderful sketch for an 8 x 10 picture on the blog “Nuts about Sketches”.  One one of my scrappy friends is a designer with this group.  I loved the sketch and especially that I could use one of the bigger pictures that I’ve had lying around for years.

This paper was so gorgeous that I really didn’t want to use any layering.  I just used some pop dots on the flowers and glittered them up a bit.  After a bit of fussy cutting, voila!

My multidimensional daughter

My youngest daughter can take off one layer of her personality and there’s something entirely different inside.  She is quite a tom boy but when she dress up to go to a dance….she’s quite stunning!  Here’s a layout showing how varied her personality can be.

I used the brads and twine to split the layout and I put her school picture inside the split.  She’s tied together in one wonderful package.  She loved this.  I don’t put flowers or anything girly on her layouts because that’s not her style!

Barn Yard “yarn”!

We visited a animal farm with Isabella this past summer.  It was so sweet to watch her have a “yarn” with the animals.  Her innocence brings tears to my eyes.  Here is a layout I created.  I thought it might be nice to split the pictures so I could insert what she was saying to the chicken.

Now you have to admit, it can’t get much cuter than that hey?

Christmas and embossing powder

I told myself all day yesterday that I would be completing a layout last night but alas, when I entered my room all I could think of was making a card….any card….using any stamp set…… any ink….. anything….anything,..I just HAD to make a card.  Oh my, I hope this sickness leaves me soon haha.  I decided to use this stamp set because it looks gorgeous with embossing powder and we all LOVE out bling hey?

I have plans to complete that layout tonight…..we’ll see what happens!

Have a great day!

A Sparkly challenge from Catherine & Cathy Create

Ok the girls over at Catherine and Cathy are at it again.  Challenging us to come up with a sparkly tag.  I needed a tag for the gift bag of that adorable new grandbaby of the neighbors and we all know how girls LOVE glitter, so this challenge was right up my alley.
