Donation to an auction for a 3 year old little boy from Eastporte who is battling cancer.

I challenge everyone visiting my blog to look around and see if someone is in need of cheering up. Cathy Caines from Crop Circles mentioned that she was part of a group of ladies who send cards (anonymously) to people who need cheering up. Do you know of someone like this? The smallest gesture can make a very big impact on someone’s day. Sometimes people just need to know that someone else cares!

Giving to help others is something that I have tried to do all my life. I am a firm believer that “what goes around, comes around”. It is only through helping others that we get that very special feeling in our hearts!

Guess I’m going to have to get my buns in gear next week.  I’ve got the “Same but Different” challenge to do for the Crop Circles and I think there is going to be an exciting blog  hop around the middle of April.  This will be the 1st blog hop that I have participated in since being a new blog owner!  Pretty excited about that.  Stay tuned!

Tulips with an owl punch

The owl punch from Stampin Up will always be my favorite and most versatile punch. These tulips were made from the body of the owl. Once again, I embossed the background paper to give the card more texture. My Cuttlebug got quite a workout last night.

Easter

I embossed the white paper, then ran my brayer through pink and yellow ink. When the pink overlapped the yellow, it changed it to orange. I just added a little paper doily, some ribbon and a flower stamp that I cut out from a Stampin Up set. Viola, a very spring like card!

Cards for ladies

I scrap-lifted this design from a card I viewed on Pinterest. I like how soft this design feels.

Cards for the boys

I used the adorable “Henry Says” Stampin Up set for this card. I love all the different stamps with this set and it is just perfect for cards for the little boys or girls in my family. The background paper is embossed for texture.

Easter again!

This is a card I made for a little girl for Easter. It’s been ages since I’ve used my Aviary stamp set from Stampin’ Up but it will always be one of my favorite. I’ve embossed the background paper for a more springy look. I used a peeled pink crayon (on it’s edge) to lightly rub over the embossing. This “pops” the embossing.

Easter card making

I have 2 wonderful nephews that love to get cards from Aunt Rexene. I’ve had these card blanks for quite some time and thought they would be really different to use. I cut the stamped images / wording with my jagged scissors to give the effect of a broken egg.
