This is one of Simple Stories new releases. It’s called “Snow Fun” and it has a wonderful winter feel. I was so excited to be able to use this kit. We went for a walk and had a wiener roast last week and the whole time I was walking, I was dreaming of this paper and how I could use it. Us scrapbookers can be a bit extreme hey?

Last night I completed July 10, 2014 in my Project Life journey. I find I am so busy early in the day that I have to complete my layouts later in the evening and by then I’m already exhausted and 1 layout is all I can muster. I’m waiting on an online picture order now and they are all current so I’m thinking I will break out all the Simple Stories stash that I’ve been hoarding and start with February 2015 and work my way back. I think this will make me feel a little less overwhelmed. Here’s the layout from last night. Once again, it’s of my darling Isabella! She absolutely adores all the layouts and makes up little stories to go with the pictures!

Last year in June I decided that starting July 1st I would start a “freeze” from buying scrapbooking stuff and I would continue until December. The only things I could buy were adhesive and ink for my Selphy. Every week of freeze I would give myself a $10 reward for my “freeze” fund. I had been buying a ton of stuff and not using much of it. Kind of felt it had become an addition (all my scrappy friends know what I’m taking about right?). My family didn’t think it was possible so I made a bet with them…if I broke the freeze, I would have to use the money in my fund to take the family out to dinner. This was just the motivation I needed because I hate being told I can’t do something haha. Well I did it!!!! I received my rewards yesterday and was I ever excited. I can’t wait to start using all my new stuff and as an added note……I will never go back to buying scrap booking stuff “just because”. From now on I am sticking to the $10 weekly budget and saving up the money to buy stuff!

A few of us on the Facebook page Project Life Junkies were discussing how we could make smaller pictures than 4 x 6 with our Selphy’s. I love the little strip of pictures in this layout. I adore my Selphy and use it every time I do my Project Life! I am entering this layout in BliminiMoose,blogspot.com. Check out all the amazing layouts the ladies have posted!

I am still trudging along with my PL although I am just starting July 2014 now. I’m sure I’ll get it done (sometime or other)!
I’ve been using the SS Snap Photo Flips and I love them. I am an avid photographer and I have tons and tons of pics and now I can use more. Also having to “flip” the pictures to see what’s underneath adds more interest to the layouts.

I have a Simple Stories line and a 6 x 8 SS binder that I am doing for Isabella. I am going to include all the fun family recipes that we use….even if it’s just making cupcakes from a cake mix. I know this will be a treasured keepsake for her!
Since it’s been so long since I’ve updated my blog, I have quite a few PL layouts to post, so here goes!
It’s been along time since I visited and added to my blog. Alot has happened since my last posting. First of all I made a promise to myself in 2014 to try and be published. Little did I know at the time that it would be my photography that would be published and not my scrapbooking. Here’s the picture of darling Isabella that was published in the Downhomer Magazine. This magazine is like Newfoundland’s Readers Digest.
Low and behold last month I submitted some pictures to the magazine of our adorable puppy Tuukka and imagine my surprise then I picked up a copy and there was my picture. Getting published has been a dream come true for me. I don’t always feel the most confident about my hobbies so it was great to know they were good enough to publish.
