Monogram tag challenge from Catherine and Cathy Create
Catherine and Cathy issued a challenge to create a tag with a monogram. I really wanted to complete the challenge but had no idea what to make. I asked my scrappy friends from Crop Circles and of course I got a wonderful idea…to create a Christmas tag, so here goes.

A gift from the heart
I am the baby of the family and there’s quite a bit of difference in age between me and my sister. I love her with all my heart and wanted to make something for her for her birthday cause let’s face it….anyone can go out and buy something but it’s the things that we take the time to make and create that really show someone how much we care. Here is a canvas I made for her. It’s a picture of me and her taken last year. I know she will be touched by this and I can’t wait for her to get it from the mail.
Play date with a scrappy friend
I was so excited last week to have a play date with my scrappy friend, Darlene Head Whalley. She is so artistic and I knew I could learn alot from her. While she worked on cards, I decided to complete a layout based on a sketch on the “Nuts about
Sketches” blog. Ironically Darlene is on the design team.
I love to scrapbook the 8 x 10 pictures that we no longer have displayed on our walls.
Cheers folks and have a great day!
Christmas Cards
Pieces of a puzzle
Recently a group of us ladies from Crop Circles (a scrappy online Facebook group) decided to take part in a puzzle piece exchange. We each bought a puzzle and sent a piece to each lady that was signed up. When the pieces started coming to me I was very unsure what I was going to do with them but I gathered up all my inks, sprays, sentiment stamps and anything else I thought I could use. The more I completed, the more fun I had. I used water paper for almost all of mine and as I’ve said a ton of times before “I love waterpaper!” Here are the pieces I have done so far…now I’m sat twiddling my thumbs waiting for more to arrive.
And here is my mess while creating.
Happy Birthday to my wonderful sister
My sister’s birthday is coming up. She loves all my home made stuff and treasures everything I give her. When I visit her house, evidence of the things I have given her are all over the place. Here is a card I made for her…had to be something as special as she is.
The card stock is actually teal green but anyone who takes alot of pictures knows how hard it is to take a pic of teal and have it actually turn out that color and not blue.
Cheers peeps and have a great night!

Another Challenge at Catherine & Cathy Create
This challenge is called “In Threes”. We had to make a creation that displayed 3 of something. I used the Stampin up stamp set “Snow much fun”. I love the snowmen in this set. They have so much personality!

Card for Catherine and Cathy Creates blog challenge
Catherine and Cathy issued another challenge. This time it was to use black and orange. I used the Toil and Trouble stamp set from Stampin Up which is one of the prizes I won for another of their challenges. Don’t you just love that stamp! Here is my card.

Halloween Card
I don’t usually make Halloween cards but I wanted to enter something into Catherine and Cathy Creates first October challenge…to use orange and black. Well I chose a technique that I saw on Pinterest but I realized that I don’t own an orange reinker so mustard it is. Guess I’ll be making another card for the challenge haha.
Here is the link that I used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJdRxCwf9oU. Great way to use reinkers to create a very different stamped image. When I was finished I felt bad throwing away the baby wipe with all that ink on it so I pat it over the paper in the background. I stamped the crow with Versa mark and embossed it with black. Hope you like it!
Cheers and stay tuned cause I’ll be stampin up a storm for the next 2 weeks!
