Feeling the urge to snap

In the last few weeks I’ve been preoccupied with taking pictures.  Yesterday we decided to go for a walk at the site of the old town in Gander.  We took Isabella’s sleigh to tow her on and of course our puppy, Tuukka.  Before I left I grabbed my camera, just in case the mood hit me for some pics and boy did it hit.  I saw pictures everywhere I looked and ended up doing a wonderful photoshoot.  Here are so of them….enjoy!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways……

I recently completed a photoshoot with Isabella and Tuukka.  It’s always loads of fun to take pics of them both and it’s very rewarding because I know there’s some great shots as Isabella is very photogenic!  I don’t do many 12 x 12 layouts anymore but some pictures really need to be bigger than 4 x 6 and this was just one of those pictures.  Simple Stories recently came out with a Hugs and Kisses paper line that was just perfect!  Hope you enjoy!!!!recrop

Look at the pictures in the view master reel….aren’t they the cutest!

Doggies, Doggies and more doggies

Saturday past was a pretty stormy day here in Central Newfoundland and we were trying to think of something to do.  Isabella LOVES to bake and there’s always banana bread or brownies in the house.  Saturday we decided to make treats for our doggies. First we cut up sweet potatoes and made dehydrated cinnamon chips and then we made biscuits.  I wanted to use all the pumpkin so nothing was wasted so we ended up with a ton of biscuits.  Isabella suggested sharing them with the neighborhood doggies!  All the “boys” were quite excited to receive their treats and their owners were pretty touched that Isabella thought of them.

I’m loving the 6 x 12 pages, especially when I don’t have alot of pictures to document.

Cheers scrappy friends & have a great weekend!

Stormy day in Central Newfoundland

So far this winter, we’ve been spared alot of snow and I’ve just been able to go out and shovel it as I really enjoy the solitude and time to just think.  The snowblower’s been sitting patiently in the shed waiting for old man winter to rear his head. Well….Monday evening he arrived with a vengeance.  It snowed nonstop from about 3 pm on Monday until about 10 am Tuesday and boy did we get a storm.  I had to wake up Mr. Snowblower who was feeling quite lonely and thought I had forgotten him.  The snow drifts in our driveway were so high, I had to shovel a path to get to the front of the house or risk going to my waist in snow and I’m not a short person so the snow was quite high.  I went out at 10:30 am and when I looked there was my darling daughter coming with her shovel.  How cool is that???? She came out on her own…that’s right, I didn’t have to MAKE a 14 year old, who’d just found out she got a storm day off school, come out and help her poor mamma haha)!  After 3 hours we both dragged ourselves back in the house but we had a very clean driveway and Mr. Snowblower was put gently back in the shed with vision in his head of a job well done and dreaming of the next storm!  See the picture in the top left hand corner….well that’s our puppy, Tuukka,  who sits in the window and watches all the goings on outside.  Love that puppy we do!

I decided to do a 6 x 12 layout to commemorate the fun me and Briana had cleaning up the snow!

Cheers scrappy friends!  Hope you have the warmest of days (haha)

Project Life is not a Daily Grind

Hanging out in my craft room again tonight.  I’ve spent quite a bit of time down here this week and Isabella has wanted to join me and go “crafting”.  The Daily Grind kit from Simple Stories is perfect for these pictures!

Isabella is such a joy to me.  Even though she is only 3 years old, she shares my love for crafts and it’s my pleasure to have her join me and create some wonderful creations!.
